Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 1 day a week. Typical hours are 12–9 PM. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (518) 313-7090. Our family was traveling and did a search of the Albany, NY area for a quick late lunch and found raving reviews with this restaurant. When the dishes came rolling in, the first bite indicated we picked the wrong dining experience. Dumplings at $12 for 6 was not made in the same week or was sitting in deep freeze too long as my taste buds was not happy. Stir-fried green beans was old and deep fried too long with a splash of garlic. Warning to all : lower your expectation when dining at this location as you can get fool like I was.

This traditional authentic Chinese restaurant is a must go! The menu is extensive so I don’t have photos. Every single dish was mouth watering and I cannot wait until my next trip back to try all different items! They brought a hot pot of tea out right away. We started with their four seasons soup dumplings and a scallion pancake. Soup dumplings were bursting with flavor each with a different taste. The scallion pancake was crunchy and served with some type of rice vinegar. Delicious! For my main I got their gong bao chicken. Just enough heat to make it spicy and those pieces of celery really make it unique. My partner got the spicy shredded beef and it was also flavorful but not as hot as my dish in terms of spice level. But still so good. We also got the Shanghai fried rice to share and you can taste that bbq flavor. 100/10- and will be coming back!

The pork soup dumplings and spicy wontons were excellent! Make sure to use the vinegar served with the dumplings and also ask for chili oil for extra spice if that’s your thing. I also really liked the pork and crab dumplings and would suggest those, too! The prices are fair, service is good, and the food is prepared with really amazing and fresh ingredients. Gotta get Hu’s House dumplings - they’re amazing!

The food was great. Very reasonably priced. The soup dumplings and pork bao were great. The fried rice and seseme beef were excellent. The meat in everything was tender and juicy. Everything was hot and fresh. Will definitely come again.
